Biography
Jhoie has over 14 years of construction experience as a servant leader, operational strategist, risk management, and internal control. Jhoie's primary responsibilities include developing and executing the company's strategic and business plans. Before founding East West, Jhoie spent over ten years in various capacities for a general contractor in San Diego County, advancing through multiple positions including controller, chief financial officer, and vice president. During this time, Jhoie grew her experience in the construction industry, improved the operations, and led the company to steady and sustainable growth.
Jhoie believed in giving back to the community and was a firm supporter of education as a means of getting out of poverty. In 2014, Jhoie established a non-profit organization supporting children living on the streets of Manila and providing for their educational needs.
Originally from the Philippines, Jhoie earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of the East and Entrepreneurial Leadership and Strategic Management from the Asian Institute of Management. Before she migrated to the United States, she had over ten years of audit, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, bank regulations, asset liquidation, and compliance audits. Jhoie holds her contractor license in the State of California. She is currently serving as a Commissioner in Oceanside's Economic Development Commission.
